Seamus Browne, one of the greats of bridge in Australia and NZ, died over Easter, in Christchurch. It seems he was admitted to hospital with a brain haemorrhage and passed away within a few hours as nothing could be done for him. It is with the deepest regret that I report the unexpected and sudden passing of Eilis Magner. Professor Magner had been General Counsel of the ABF for over 16 years and a wonderful friend for even longer.
