Australian players Andy Hung and Sartaj Hans were part of the winning team “WHAM” at India’s most prestigious tournament, the 21st HCL International Bridge Championship. Their teammates were New Zealanders Michael Whibley and Matthew Brown.
With a total prize purse of ₹ 27 million (USD $325,000), the HCL International has become one of bridge’s most valuable tournaments. First place in the Open Teams attracted ₹ 44 lakh (USD ~$52,000).
