ABF BBO OPERATORS TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENGAGEMENT
In accepting this engagement as a BBO operator, you acknowledge and accept the following terms and conditions:
- You will quote an ABN on a tax invoice or provide a completed Statement by a Supplier form stating why you are NOT quoting an ABN (the form will be sent to you). If the ABF already holds a duly completed form you do not need to provide one again if your circumstances are unchanged.
- The term “specifically engaged” means you were offered and accepted employment as a BBO operator for specific sessions/boards prior to the start of the event. The term “casually engaged” means you were offered and accepted employment as a BBO operator for specific sessions/boards after the start of the event. An event starts on the first day bridge is played.
- Where a BBO session you have been specifically engaged to operate at is cancelled (e.g. due to a concession by one of the competing teams, other reason beyond your control), you will receive payment as if you had worked the session.
- Where a BBO session you have been casually engaged to operate at is cancelled (e.g. due to a concession by one of the competing teams, other reason beyond your control), you will receive half the payment as if you had worked the session.
- If you turn up late for your BBO session and a substitute operator was engaged, you forfeit your right to payment of any kind.
- Claims for reimbursable expenses (e.g. travel costs) will only be paid for specifically engaged operators, pre-approved by the BBO Organiser and upon provision of a valid tax invoice or receipt.
- The ABF supplies all necessary equipment to perform the function.
- BBO operators are not commentators and are there to ensure they convey necessary information on bidding and play, not opinion.
- There are two rates of pay for BBO operators. Preferred payment method is by direct bank deposit.
