The annual Australia vs New Zealand youth test match held during the NZ National Congress is scheduled for October 5 – 6, 2018.

Eligibility: Open to all Male and Female Under 25 players who are born on or after 1 January 1993 and before 1 January 2000.

The following selection procedure will be used to select the 4 person team to contend this event:

A call for nominations will be made on the ABF website and by email to all eligible players from the most recent Youth Selection Butler. Priority will be given to established youth partnerships and Australian representatives in the given year. Consideration will also be given to:

• Any PQPs accrued by nominated pairs;
• The results from Youth week;
• Performance at National events; and
• Performance at 2018 International events.

Selection will be recommended to the ABF Management Committee by a panel headed by the Chairman of the Tournament Committee and comprising the National Youth Co-ordinator, the Chairman of the International Player Committee, and the current Australian Youth Non-Playing Captain(s).

Funding: $1200 per pair plus entry fee to the Youth Test Match will be paid by the ABF.
