Australia finished 13th in the 10 round Swiss Qualifying but then lost to Beijing BEIH in the Knockout. In the Consolation Swiss Teams they finished 3rd.
Joe Haffer and Phil Markey, Warren Lazer and Pauline Gumby played in the Open Pairs with both pairs qualifying for the Final. Joe and Phil finished 7th and Warren and Pauline finished 3rd.
